Welcome

So you've decided to take the subject Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK)? Here are some things you should know to get you started...

Christian Religious Knowledge is a subject offered by students in Senior Secondary Schools in West Africa. Students take the subject in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WAEC) or the National Examinations Council Examinations (NECO). It is a subject arranged to give students a good knowledge of the religious, cultural, historical and social background of the Bible. It is also a subject which helps students understand the biblical moral lessons in selected passages/ themes from the Bible.

The study of Christian Religious Knowledge also helps you know the relevance and possible application of Bible passages to present day social, political, religious and cultural life and existence.

Having seen what Christian Religious Knowledge is, lets move further to see the topics we are expected to learn about. We will divide the topics into three major categories -

Category I: Themes from the Old Testament (which make up Section A of the Senior School Certificate Exam)

Category II: Themes from the New Testament (which make up Section B of the Senior School Certificate Exam)

Category III: Themes from Selected Pauline Epistles/Letters of Peter and James (which make up Section C of the Senior School Certificate Exam)

There are various topics under these categories listed above, all make up what every student offering Christian Religious Knowledge must know.
